Diabetic & Medical Cat Boarding — Reliable Medication Care, 7 Days a Week

If your cat needs insulin or daily medication, you don’t need to compromise.
We provide calm, consistent boarding care for diabetic and medically complex cats on the Gold Coast.

Boarding diabetic cats requires experience and consistency

We often speak with owners who are unsure where to turn when their cat needs insulin or regular medication. For cats with medical needs, consistency matters, and finding the right boarding option can feel overwhelming.

Our medical boarding option is designed for cats who need reliable, twice-daily medication care, with routines that prioritise safety and calm handling.

You don’t need to compromise on your cat’s care while you’re away.

Medication support you can rely on

Insulin
Injection

We administer insulin twice daily, seven days a week, following clear written instructions provided before your cat’s stay.

Daily Medication

We can administer oral medications, eye drops, ear drops and topical treatments as prescribed, following a consistent daily routine.

Routine & Monitoring

Cats requiring medication benefit from calm routines and close observation, particularly during the first days of boarding.

Medications must be supplied in original packaging with clear written instructions.

Suitable for diabetic and medically complex cats

If you’re unsure whether your cat’s condition is suitable, we’re happy to discuss their individual needs before booking.

An important note about medical boarding

Boarding is a different environment from home, and some cats may eat less or behave differently during the first days of their stay. For cats with diabetes or other medical conditions, changes in appetite or stress levels can affect how medication is tolerated.

If needed, insulin or medication doses may be adjusted conservatively to prioritise your cat’s safety. Any adjustments are made thoughtfully and with your cat’s wellbeing in mind.

For some cats, a continuous glucose monitor (such as a Libre sensor) can be helpful during boarding. If this is something you already use or would like to discuss, we’re happy to talk it through before your cat’s stay.

Our approach is calm, cautious and centred on keeping your cat safe and settled.
